What electrical wiring installation covers

New-build wiring

Full electrical wiring for new construction, planned alongside your networking and security needs.

Rewiring & upgrades

Replacing old, unsafe or undersized wiring in existing buildings.

DB board installation & upgrades

Distribution board sizing and installation matched to your building's actual load, including solar-ready boards, RCD and surge protection.

Fault-finding & repairs

Diagnosing tripping breakers, dead sockets and intermittent faults other electricians can't pin down.

Wiring certification

Documentation for compliance and for handover to landlords, banks or insurers.

Solar & network-ready wiring

Wiring planned to support future solar backup and structured network cabling without redoing walls.

🏢

Commercial & three-phase wiring

Three-phase and single-phase power distribution, dedicated circuits for high-load equipment, server room and UPS wiring.

📷

Security system wiring

Concealed power and data runs for CCTV cameras, gate motors, biometric readers and alarm panels.

Why This Matters Here

Built for Ghana's actual power conditions, not generic standards

Ghana's grid regularly delivers voltage surges and brownouts that damage unprotected appliances and equipment. Correctly installed surge protection at the DB board is the first line of defence — we install it as standard on every new DB board, not as a costly extra you discover you needed after something burns out.

Every installation is designed to Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) compliance standards, with proper earthing throughout — the foundation of a safe system, and often the first thing an insurer or bank checks.

What we install as standard, not as an upsell

  • Surge protection devices (SPDs) at the DB board
  • RCD (residual current device) protection against earth faults and shock
  • Proper earth bonding throughout the installation
  • Correctly rated MCBs sized to your actual circuit load
Don't Wait For A Fault

Signs your building's wiring needs attention

Breakers that trip repeatedly

A breaker that trips once under heavy load is normal. One that trips repeatedly, or trips with nothing unusual plugged in, usually means a genuine fault in the circuit — not a breaker that needs replacing.

Warm switches or discoloured sockets

A socket or switch that feels warm to the touch, or shows browning around the plate, is a real fire risk. This is one of the few electrical warning signs that genuinely shouldn't wait for a convenient time.

Flickering lights not tied to a power cut

Lights that flicker or dim when another appliance switches on often point to an overloaded circuit or a loose connection — both things a fault-finding visit can usually resolve quickly.

A building older than its wiring standard

Properties wired more than 15-20 years ago were built to older load expectations — before most homes ran AC units, multiple fridges and solar inverters simultaneously. A rewiring assessment is often the first real step before adding solar or heavy appliances.

No RCD or surge protection at the DB board

If your distribution board has never been upgraded to include RCD and surge protection, it's likely running without two of the most important safety layers available — both retrofit easily during a DB board upgrade.

Buzzing sounds from the DB board

A distribution board should be silent. Any buzzing or crackling sound is worth an inspection promptly, not at the next convenient opportunity.

Equipment We Work With

Electrical component brands we install

Schneider Electric

Circuit breakers, DB boards and surge protection devices used widely in commercial installations.

Legrand

Sockets, switches and wiring accessories for residential and commercial fit-outs.

ABB

Industrial-grade breakers and protection devices for higher-load commercial and factory wiring.

ECG-approved cable brands

Cabling sized and rated to Electricity Company of Ghana compliance standards.

Brand names are trademarks of their respective owners. We select components based on your building's load and budget, not a fixed brand list.

Process

How electrical wiring installation works

Site assessment

A technician inspects your existing wiring or building plans, free of charge.

Scope & quote

A written quote covering materials, labour and certification, before work begins.

Wiring work

Certified electricians complete the work with minimal disruption to occupied buildings.

Testing & certification

Every circuit tested and documented before handover.

Answers

Electrical Wiring FAQ

How much does house wiring cost in Ghana?
+

Cost depends on building size, number of circuits, and whether it's new construction or a rewire of an occupied building. AerixSys gives a written quote after a free site assessment rather than a flat nationwide rate.

What are signs my building needs rewiring?
+

Frequently tripping breakers, warm or discoloured outlets, flickering lights unrelated to grid outages, and visible old rubber-insulated cable are all signs it's time for an assessment. Left unaddressed, these are fire risks, not just inconveniences.

Do I need to upgrade my DB board for solar?
+

Often, yes — many older DB boards aren't sized or configured to safely integrate a solar inverter and battery bank. AerixSys checks this as part of any solar quote and upgrades the board where needed.

Can you provide a wiring certificate for my property?
+

Yes. AerixSys documents and certifies completed wiring work, which is often required by landlords, banks or insurers, or simply as a record of what was done and to what standard.
